Ox-knee root and Chuan ox-knee root also contain triterpenoid saponin which produces oleanolic acid after hydrolysis.

 The extract of medicinal cyathula root (Radix Cyathulae) can resist fertility and implantation. Its benzene extract has the most hypotensive and diuretic effects.
