1.Stemona sessilifolia(Miq.)Franch.et Sav.(Zhi Li Bai Bu): Sessile Stemona Root is the dry root from Stemona Sessilifolia Miq,a plant of the Stemonaceae family,other names such as Bai Tiao Gen,Jiu Shi Jiu Tiao Gen,Jiu Cong Gen. Perennial herb, 30-60 cm high. Root Cluster, succulent, spindle. Vertical stems, branches. Leaf 3-4 katawa Health; Quercus glandulifera var or no stems, leaf oval to elliptical, 3.5-5.5 cm long, 1.8-3.8 cm wide, and a sharp tip or gradually sharpening radical, wedge-shaped base; vein usually five the middle three particularly significant.Most flowers grows in the lower stem scales axil, pedicel slender; tepals 4, bundle shape lanceolate; stamens 4, purple, antherlobe expansion into lanceolate auxiliaries, anther line, a narrow tip Kunzhuang auxiliaries; oval ovary, stigma short. Capsule fruit. Flowering period from April to May, fruit in July.
2.Stemona japonica Bl. Miq.(Wan Sheng Bai Bu): Other names Bai Bu Cao (from Pa Pu Zi),Po Fu Cao(from Ri Hua Zi Ben Cao),Wan Cao Bao Bu. Perennial herb, 60-90 cm high. Whole plant hairless. Succulent roots, a few to several dozen Cluster. Lower vertical stem, the upper plexiform. Winding herbaceous perennial. Stem-100 cm. Leaf 3-4 katawa; 1.5-3 cm long petiole, leaf oval or bundle like lanceolate, 4-9 cm long, 1.8-4 cm wide, sharply pointed tip or gradually sharpening, base-round or closed, the entire margin ; vein of 5-9. Capsule inverted oval and flat. Flowering May to June. Growing in the sunningdale shrubs.
